Ed Gillespie issued the following statement regarding the August jobs numbers released this morning:
“Today we learned the U.S. labor force shrank by 64,000 jobs in August and that we have the worst labor force participation rate in decades. This comes after our economic growth rate was adjusted down to an anemic 1.5 percent last week. This is the result of Mark Warner’s policies. My pro-growth agenda will ease the squeeze on hard-working Virginians, and make it easier for the unemployed to find work.”
