LORTON — U.S. Senate Candidate Ed Gillespie issued the following statement in regard to the Commerce Department’s estimate that GDP contracted 2.9 percent for the first quarter of 2014:
“This stagnant economy is not a matter of fate. It’s the result of bad policies and, with the right ones, we can do better. My agenda for economic growth would be the polar opposite of the diminished expectations we have endured for the last five years with Mark Warner and President Obama. The American people are ready to change our policies, not our expectations, to create jobs and economic growth.”
